Manmohan Singh invites German companies to invest in India

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh invited German companies to invest in the country and provide impetus to the economic growth, as the government aimed to develop its infrastructure sector. Singh, in one of his inter-governmental consultations, said in his speech in Berlin, that economic cooperation between the two nations would prove beneficial for both the nations. Singh had earlier told German Chancellor, Angela Merkel about his government's resolve to restore India's own growth to the long-term trend of 7.5 to 8 percent per annum.
