Makers of country's tallest Ganesha idol gearing up for Ganesha Chaturthi

Khairatabad Ganesh, famous for the tallest lord Ganesha statues is preparing for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesha Chaturthi is one of India's famous Hindu festival celebrating Lord Ganesha. Khairatabad Ganesha relishes in a great history and of making the tallest Ganesha statues in India. In 1954, they established their name with one-foot tall statue, which reached the height of 60-feet in 2014. This year the height will be 57-feet. This year's Khairthabad Ganesha will come with a new look. It will be the 'Saptha Mukha Kala Sarpa Maha Ganapathi' (seven-headed Ganesha). Around 150 members have been working on it since May 25. The idol will be completed by September 06. Founder and Chairman of Khairatabad Ganesh, said that the idol cost around Rs 1 crore.
