Mortal remains of Major SV Nair, who lost his life in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast on Friday, were brought to his native place in Maharashtra's Pune. He was martyred in IED blast in J and K's Nowshera on Friday. An improvised explosive device was planted by suspected militants in the foot-track along the Line of Control (LoC) to target army soldiers patrolling the borderline in Laam belt of Nowshera sector of Rajouri district. The blast resulted in injuries to two soldiers, including Major SV Nair. Later he was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
