LS polls 2019: Locals in Meerut threaten to press NOTA against BJP MP Rajendra Agrawal

Locals of Sisoli village in Meerut district held a mahapanchayat on Saturday to protest against the selection of Rajendra Agrawal as BJP's Lok Sabha candidate for the Meerut constituency and threatened to press the NOTA button if the party doesn't take back his candidacy. The residents of Sisoli complained that Agrawal did not visit any village during his tenure as MP and no development has taken place for the last five years in those areas. Agrawal, however, told ANI that the protest was politically motivated and didn't mirror the larger mood of the voters, who, according to the BJP candidate, were supportive of his candidacy.
