Kerala's strawberry farmers unable to sell produce amid coronavirus lockdown

Kerala's strawberry growers in Munnar are facing a major crisis amid the nationwide lockdown in the wake of coronavirus. Farmers who cultivated carrots are also facing the same crisis.Farmers are not able to sell their produce after the lockdown as there are few takers. The March-April is harvest season for strawberry and with farmers unable to sell it most of the produce has started to rot. With no visitors, the local population that used to depend on tourism is also hit.
