Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi and signed four MOUs in diverse areas, including mines, youth affairs, small development projects and fertilizers. The delegation-level talks were also held to explore the prospects of enhancing India's role in training Afghan security forces. The Indian Prime Minister has assured Karzai that India will continue to help Afghanistan in future. He also added that both the countries have agreed to deepen economic engagement in many areas. Karzai meanwhile stated that Manmohan Singh is a "good friend of Afghanistan". The two countries traditionally close trading partners, had last year signed a strategic partnership agreement to deepen friendly ties and boost trade, security and cultural links.
