High-priced onions become new normal for consumers in Mumbai

Mumbai, Oct 28 (ANI): Onion prices continued to surge in Mumbai’s Byculla market. Continues rainfall in parts of India led to rise in onion prices. Onions are being sold at Rs 70-80 per kg. Traders used to sell 10 quintals in a day, now it has reduced to less than 3 quintals. A seller said, "Prices have doubled. We used to sell 10 quintals in a day, now it's reduced to less than 3 quintals. We've no idea why supply is less & how long this will prevail."
