Hathras gang-rape case: Delhi Police detains 32 protestors at India Gate

New Delhi, Sep 30 (ANI): Members of All India Students Association and Bhim Army staged a protest near India Gate on September 30, demanding justice for Hathras gang-rape victim. 32 male protesters were detained for an illegal protest near Mansingh Road. Few female protesters who were part of the protesting group were removed from the spot. Delhi Police said that legal action has been taken under relevant sections of law. The 19-year-old girl was gang-raped by four men on September 14 in Hathras, when she went to gather fodder for her cattle. She succumbed to injuries on morning of September 29 at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Family has accused the police of performing her last rites without their consent at wee hours of September 30.
