Union Home Secretary, RK Singh on Tuesday said that the Government will free alleged militant, Liaqat Ali Shah, if the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe absolves him of terror plot. The government has ordered the NIA to conduct an investigation into the arrest of Liaqat after claims and counter claims. Delhi police maintains that Pakistan-based militant group Hizbul Mujahideen had ordered Shah to carry out suicide attacks in the city while Kashmir government holds that he was a surrendered militant, arriving in India, to avail the benefits of rehabilitation policy.
