Extended best possible medical treatment to Sarabjit: Pak Foreign Ministry

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry has said that Pakistan took all possible steps to ensure that the paper work for Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh who died after being wounded by fellow inmates in a Pakistani jail, was completed swiftly so that his body could be repatriated to India as soon as possible. Pakistan said that it provided the best treatment for Singh. Chaudhry also said the Indian Foreign Secretary had called his Pakistani counterpart to thank the Pakistani government for their co-operation. Commenting on apprehensions by certain analysts that Sarabjit Singh's violent death could bring new tensions, Chaudhry said he hoped that would not happen.
