Dr Ravi Malik highlights precautionary measures for doctors and para-medical staff

Paediatrician Dr Ravi Malik on the precautionary measures undertaken by doctors said that personal protection kit is not enough as doctors and para-medical staff should also maintain personal hygiene too. He said personal hygiene basically includes hand hygiene, wearing and disposing procedure of gloves and maintaining 1 meter distance from coronavirus patients, irrespective of the personal protection kit. He further said, "The complete protection kit is only required in cases where the patient is in ICU or under intensive care." On the availability of masks and gloves for doctors and para-medical staff, Malik said, "We have enough logistics. Masks and gloves should be used judiciously to avoid its shortage."
