Delhi Police ensures timely delivery of newborn amid corona lockdown

Amid corona lockdown, Delhi Police ensured successful delivery of a pregnant woman by taking her to the Safdurjung hospital within time on April 05. Father of the newborn baby, Pankaj said, "I dialed several helpline numbers when my wife experienced labour pain on April 1 but couldn't contact any of them. Then I rang Delhi Police, they reached at my place with ambulance in 20 minutes." PCR South Zone Incharge, Poonam Parik, said that the staff is well trained to handle such situations and have helped 155 such women. "They make sure that pregnant women undergoing labour pain reach hospital comfortably. This is on our priority amid lockdown," she added.
