Delhi HC dismisses Kejriwal's plea for stay in criminal defamation case


The Delhi High Court on Wednesday rejected Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea seeking a stay proceedings in the criminal defamation case filed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley against him. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's advocate Manik Dogra said Kejriwal had filed a petition before the Delhi HC asking for stay of criminal proceedings, which the HC dismissed petition. The HC dismissed the petition saying no prejudice is caused to him and other co-accused during the pendency of civil and criminal proceedings simultaneously. He added that they think it's a huge setback for Kejriwal and rest of the co-accused.
