Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with women working with self help groups in rural sectors through video conferencing on Thursday. He hailed their efforts and contribution in various sectors during this interaction. In his address, PM Modi also hailed the success of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana (DAY) for providing skill development to poor people giving a podium for sustainable livelihood opportunities. He said, "As part of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, special focus is being accorded to skill development among youths. Young people are being trained to be self-reliant so that they can live according to their will." He further added, "Under this scheme nearly 28 lakh youth have been given training. Out of these trained youths, 19-20 lakh have been given employment opportunities."
