COVID-19 outbreak: Delhi school providing temporary shelter to migrant workers

A school has been converted to a temporary shelter home by government to accommodate homeless and migrant workers amid coronavirus lockdown. Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Delhi's Ghazipur is providing temporary shelter to migrant workers. While speaking to ANI, the volunteer of Delhi Civil Defence, Shailendra Kumar Nirala said, "There are around 400 people here. They are from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Haryana. These people were waiting at Anand Vihar Bus Terminal to leave Delhi. We motivated them and asked them to stay here." "All arrangements have been made for them," he added. There are total 49 positive cases of coronavirus in Delhi. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases rose to 1024 in India (including 901 active cases, 96 cured/discharged/migrated people and 27 deaths).
