Coronavirus outbreak: Rabi crop trading postponed in Haryana's Rohtak

The arrival of rabi (spring) crops in markets postponed in Haryana's Rohtak district due to nationwide lockdown in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. "The farm land owners and farmers are continuously calling me to buy rabi crops, but we are not buying any crop for now following the nationwide lockdlown in the wake of coronavirus pandemic," said Rohtak's 'Anaj Mandi' head. The 'Anaj Mandi' head has asked farmers to bring crops after April 20 as per the government guideline. Wheat, barley, mustard are some of the major rabi types of crops that grow in Haryana. The Rabi season usually lasts up to March or April.
