Coal block allocation case: Repeated attempts made to rope Naveen Patnaik in by Centre, says BJD MP

While speaking to ANI on impleadment application against Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik filed in Supreme Court (SC) in a coal block allocation case, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Member of Parliament (MP) Pinaki Misra said, "It's a contemptible issue. The issue is 21 years old. It relates to a time when Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was holding additional charge of Coal Ministry for about a couple of months only." "Issue never came up when Patnaik ji was holding additional charge, so he has no role to play in this. Repeated attempts have been made to try and rope him in by the Centre. It's being driven by unholy cash generated by some vested interests attempting to play a dirty game," he added.
