External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid has informed that China has not yet given any reason for the recent intrusion by the People's Liberation Army of China in Ladakh. Khurshid, who held talks with his counterpart Wang Yi said both sides had expressed "satisfaction" over the fact that the stand-off in Ladakh was resolved peacefully through existing mechanisms. When asked whether there was any degree of clarity on why Chinese troops intruded, Khurshid said. It is not clear why it happened. They were not offering that background and we were not asking for it at this stage. Khurshid met with his Chinese counterpart Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing to discuss regional cooperation after three weeks of border tensions.
