Central government should provide immediate financial help to states: CM Gehlot

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide immediate assistance of Rs 1 lakh crore to the states to tackle the global pandemic corona. Also, the Central Government should implement the Inter State Supply Chain Protocol soon for uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, medicines and medical equipment in this hour of crisis. CM Gehlot said this while participating in the video conferencing of the Chief Ministers of the states with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. CM apprised the Prime Minister with the decisions taken by the state government of providing relief to all the needy sections including destitute, poor and construction workers. He also said that adequate support of the central government is very necessary for the states to face a disaster like Corona. CM Gehlot also underlined that the state government is facing this disaster with full resolve and dedication. Government machinery is working 24x7 to meet this challenge. For this, war rooms have been made at the state and district levels. A core group of senior officers has also been formed for constant monitoring and quick decision on the situation.
