BSE closes 97.57 points down on June 18

Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 97.57 points down to stand at 19,228.28. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 36.43 points down to stand at 5,813.60. Reliance Communications Ltd and Piramal Enterprises were among the top gainers with an increase of 11.05 % and 7.43% along with Financial Technologies Ltd. and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. with an increase of 5.52% and 5.01% respectively, while the top losers include MMTC Ltd. and Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. With a decrease of 4.98% and 3.76% along with Essar Oil Ltd. and Crompton Greaves with a decrease 3.65% and 2.76% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 16.09 points at 10,890.46 while the banking sector is down 154.28 points at 13,529.85 and the realty sector is down 7.00 points at 1,595.58. The Indian currency is down 1.30% at Rs 58.62 per dollar.
