BSE closes 57.98 points down on June 4

Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 57.98 points down to stand at 19,552.49. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 19.83 points down to stand at 5,919.45. Bata India Ltd and Glaxo Smith Kline Consumer Healthcare Ltd. were among the top gainers with an increase of 6.61% and 6.38% along Cadila Healthcare Ltd. and Apollo Hospitals with an increase of 5.48% and 5.4% respectively, while the top losers include Jaypee Infratech Ltd and Dish TV India Ltd. with a decrease of 5.23% and 3.25% along with MphasiS Ltd. and Adani Power Ltd. with a decrease 3.22% and 3.10% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 57.38 points at 11,014.88 while the banking sector is down 139.20 points at 14,043.47 and the realty sector is down 15.09 points at 1,675.43. The Indian currency is up 0.37% at Rs 56.55 per dollar.
