BSE closes 119.41 points down on July 2


Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 119.41 points down to stand at 19,457.97. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 41.30 points down to stand at 5,857.54. Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. and Future Retail Ltd. were among the top gainers with an increase of 6.89% and 6.42% along with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd. and Jaypee Infratech Ltd. with an increase of 5.87% and 5.12% respectively, while the top losers include Hindustan Copper Ltd. and Jain Irrigation with a decrease of 6.43% and 5.47% along with Gitanjali Gems and MMTC Ltd. with a decrease 4.98% and 4.96% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 127.16 points at 10,787.51 while the banking sector is down 92.14 points at 13,290.44 and the realty sector is down 28.78 points at 1,561.78. The Indian currency is down 0.19% at Rs 59.63 per dollar.
