Boat owners in Bhopal facing trouble amid COVID-19 lockdown

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), May 26 (ANI): The boat owners are facing hardship in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal amid coronavirus-induced lockdown. Boating activity has come to halt. Lockdown has hit owners of cruise, speed and paddle boat equally. Upper Lake, Bhopal’s famous tourist spot, remains deserted. Lockdown has badly affected their means of livelihood in past two months. Total COVID-19 cases stand at 6665 in Madhya Pradesh. While speaking to ANI, a boat owner said, “Around 250 families are affected. We are waiting for services to resume. Business used to boom during this period. Government should provide some relief.”
