Attack on Nitish's convoy an 'attempt to murder': JD (U)

A former MLA of the Janata Dal (United) on Thursday snatched the carbine of a policeman on duty and started firing in air when few protesters tried to attack the cavalcade of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Khagaria during his Adhikar Yatra. Condemning the attack on Nitish's cavalcade, JD (U) spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari today said in Patna that the attack was an attempt to murder. JD (U), leader Neeraj Kumar said that the police have been asked to probe the matter. However, RJD leader Ram Kripal Yadav said that the anger against Kumar is palpable among the locals.
