Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) from East Delhi constituency and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir had missed the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Urban Development meeting over matter of air pollution in Delhi on November 15. While speaking to ANI on matter of air pollution, Gautam Gambhir said, "Work is important and if we do it at ground level like the central government has done by constructing the Eastern Express Highway and East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) has also done lot of work in this regard." "People created scene of the matter that I haven't attended the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Urban Development meeting. What is more important is that I am working at the ground level. If you will compare my five months work with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's five years work then I am here to prove everything," he added. "Arvind Kejriwal has entirely blamed stubble burning for the problem of air pollution," Gambhir further stated.
