Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Brahm Mohindra on Sunday reached Civil hospital in Amritsar to meet people who were injured in the dreadful train mishap. He was accompanied by state leaders. Mohindra also interacted with the people and listened their grievances and also instructed the hospital authorities to take special care of injured persons. As many as 55 people were killed and over 30 injured after a train mowed down people watching Dussehra celebrations near a train track in Amritsar's Choura Bazar on Friday. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had ordered a probe into the incident.
