The 43rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) kicked off in Panaji, with a promise to make India an international destination of good cinema. Tinsel town actor Akshay Kumar lit the inauguration lamp in the presence of union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Manish Tewari. Addressing the audience at the festival's inauguration, Tewari said that this year's festival would also pay tribute to film legends who recently passed away. In a candid chat with the media person, Akshay said that cinema is all about devotion, excitement, suspense and most important family time for him. Talking to reporters, Polish filmmaker, Krzysztof Zanussi, who was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement award, urged filmmakers to enrich cinema using innovative techniques.
