3 LeT militants neutralised by security forces in Handwara

At least three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were neutralised by the security forces during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara on Tuesday. Acting on a tip off about the terrorists hiding in a house, the operation was executed jointly by the CRPF and army. According to Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muneer Khan, the terrorists were asked to surrender but they kept on firing at the security forces following which they were killed in retaliatory fire. A huge cache of arms and ammunition including grenades and AK-47 rifles have also been recovered from the site.
