Vegetable prices soar in Varanasi due to rain

Varanasi (UP), June 30 (ANI): Vegetable prices have shot up since few days in parts of Varanasi. The vegetables are selling 25 percent higher costs than last week’s price. “The price of the vegetable hiked again. They were affordable earlier. It has increased by 20 to 25 per cent. All green vegetable has become expensive as of now because of heavy rain,” said a vegetable vendor. “All vegetables are expensive. Ladies’ Finger is sold at 60 per kg price, Parval at 80 rs per kg. Other green vegetable have also seen a spike. People who was eating two vegetable will going to eat one because of increase in rate of vegetables,” said a local customer.
