Vasooligate case: Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh appears before CBI

Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh has reached a DRDO guesthouse for his questioning in connection with the corruption allegations levelled against him by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh and suspended officer Sachin Waze. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had summoned Deshmukh in connection with the case. The summons was sent to Deshmukh on April 12, just a day after his two personal assistants Sanjeev Palande and Kundan were grilled by the agency in Mumbai. The probe agency investigating the corruption allegations against Anil Deshmukh, which were levelled by Singh after he was removed from the Mumbai Police's top post by the Maharashtra Home Department then managed by Deshmukh.
