Varanasi building collapse: Admin announces Rs 5 lakhs ex-gratia for deceased’s kin

Varanasi (UP), Jun 01 (ANI): At least two people died and 6 were injured after a two-storey building collapsed in Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Varanasi on June 01. Deepak Agrawal, Divisional Commissioner, Varanasi announced Rs 5 lakhs ex-gratia for deceased’s kin and Rs 50,000 for injured. He said, “2 labourers died, 6 got injured after a dilapitated building near Kashi Vishwanath Temple collapsed today. Rs 5 lakhs ex-gratia for deceased’s kin and Rs 50,000 for injured. PM spoke to District authorities and ordered to provide help to affected families”.
