Varanasi boats getting CNG engines

Varanasi (UP), July 09 (ANI): Varanasi administration is replacing old pollution-causing diesel engines in boats playing in the Ganga by CNG-fuelled engines though the conversion work. GAIL India has joined hands with UP Government to make the Ganga river clean. According to Varanasi Commissioner, Deepak Agarwal, “With the support of GAIL and Varanasi Smart City, we have converted over 100 diesel boats into CNG ones. Boatmen and tourists are also happy. We are trying to convert remaining boats into CNG ones before Diwali.”
