New Delhi, February 11: Train 18, or the Vande Bharat Express, India's fastest train will cost passengers more than any train journey for the same distance covered. The fare for the Train 18's air conditioned chair car would be Rs 1,850 whereas the executive class fare will cost Rs 3,520 for a Delhi to Varanasi trip. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2019, will flag off the speed train. The train has two classes of tickets - executive class and chair car. According to reports, both the classes will have differently priced meals.

The prices of meals will be higher in the executive class as compared to the chair car. Travellers in executive class will have to spend Rs 399 for the meal which will include morning tea, breakfast and lunch. Whereas, travellers in chair car will have to pay Rs 344 for the same meal.
Passengers from New Delhi to Kanpur and Prayagraj will pay Rs 155 for executive class and Rs 122 for chair car tickets, respectively. For tickets from Varanasi to New Delhi, passengers will pay Rs 349 and Rs 288 for executive and chair class respectively.
