New vaccination policy guidelines for Private Hospitals: No Direct Procurement Allowed

A new development has been made in the coronavirus vaccination policy, according to an SOP new guidelines, Now Private hospitals have to place orders for vaccines on the Cowin portal and cannot directly procure them from manufacturers. The new guidelines will be effective from July 1 onwards. The monthly vaccine quota to private hospitals will be based on a daily average. Hospitals can pick a week of their choice to derive the daily average and place orders. The details are available on the Cowin portal where you check all the details about the vaccination policy. Earlier, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu leaders have been saying many private hospitals are getting 25% of manufactured vaccines that are unused and now the states are suffering.
