Lucknow, May 20: In a horrific incident, a transgender in Uttar Pradesh allegedly chopped off a youth's genitals on Sunday. According to a tweet by ANI, the bizarre incident took place in Shahjahanpur. Reports inform that the youth, who was the victim of the attack, was from Kanth. This is not the first time that such an incident has been reported. Similar incidences have surfaced in the past from several states including Maharashtra, Odisha, Kerala among other states. In January this year, a bizarre incident was reported from Tamil Nadu where a man was left in a critical condition after his wife chopped off his genitals suspecting him of having extramarital affair. According to a report by ANI, the incident took place in Nabarangpur, when the woman chopped off her husband genitals while he was asleep.

In December 2018, police arrested three people including a woman for allegedly cutting off a man's genitals in Thane area of Mumbai. The man had allegedly harassed the woman and made unwanted advances towards the woman. The woman called the victim to a secluded place where two of her companions beat him up, following which the woman cut off his private parts.
