J&K Horror: Missing 8-year-old Girl Allegedly Raped, Thrashed, Done to Death
Mainpuri, Dec 15: A minor girl was gangraped by three men in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh and set ablaze by the accused when she complained the matter to the police. The victim has been admitted to the hospital where she continue to be in a critical condition, a report states. No arrests have been made yet. The family members of the victim have alleged that the three accused were troubling her since last 3-4 months. Meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR in the case and have launched a probe to nab the accused. The incident comes a day after a 15-year-old girl who was gangraped and set on fire by the accused in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, died during treatment at the Bundelkhand Medical College and Hospital. Both the accused in the case had been apprehended within 24 hours of the crime.
A case under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 376 (d) (gang-rape) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered against them, he said. Now the section 307 would be replaced by section 302 (murder), Shukla said.
The girl was raped at Deval village, 100 km from the district headquarters, on the night of December 7. Sarvesh Sen (21) and another person, a minor, entered the girl’s house when she was asleep and raped her. When she cried for help, the accused poured kerosene kept in the house on her and set her on fire.
