Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Aditynath has recently announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 Lakh each to the families of the 14 people who have died due to natural calamities in different districts of the state. CM had recently suspended 8 officials in connection with the cattle deaths and their inability to keep a check on the matter.

Heavy rains in the state have claimed several lives and few even died due to lighting caused incidents last month. CM had announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and medical help to those injured in nature's fury.

In a shocking incident which could have turned tragic, fifty-one students of a primary school in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur district were injured after an electric shock attributed to a high-tension wire that was in contact with some trees in the school campus. This incident has prompted UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to order a probe into the matter.
