The voter list is out for the Uttar Pradesh Civic Elections 2017 to be held in three phases. The voting will take place on November 22, 26 and 29.

Lucknow, Nov 10: Voting for the first phase of Uttar Pradesh Urban Body Elections 2017 will take place on Wednesday. 230 civic bodies of 24 districts of Uttar Pradesh will go to polls in the first phase. The voter list is out for the Uttar Pradesh Civic Elections 2017 . The voting will take place on November 22, 26 and 29 while counting of votes will take place on December 1. You can check your name on the voter list online on the Uttar Pradesh Election Commission website sec.up.nic.in . While you can search your name by putting in your details, you can also download the voter list of your area to tally if your name is there or not. You can also print your voter slip online before you head to cast your vote tomorrow.

How to Check Your Name in Voter List

Go the UP State Election Commission website sec.up.nic.in

Click on the ULB Voter List-2017 link on the right hand side of the home page. This will take you on the ‘View Voter List’ Page with several fields.

In the first field ‘Body Type’, add whether you are a voter for Nagar Nigam, Nagar Palika Parishad or Nagar Panchayat. In the second field, add the name of your district from those shown in the dropdown. For example, if you are a voter in Bareilly, click on Bareilly. In the third field add the name of the Urban Local Body. In the next field, enter the Ward from the dropdown, for example, enter Rampurbag if you’re a registered voter in the Rampur Garden area of Bareilly. Next enter the code shown on the page and click on ‘Submit’.

You will then be asked to enter your registered mobile number to receive a One Time Password. Once you receive that, enter the OTP and proceed. You will see a page where you can download the voter list of your area and can scan it to check your name.

How to print your voter slip

Go to the website sec.up.nic.in

Click on ‘Urban Voter Search/Voter Slip’ link on the right side of the home page. This will take you to a ‘Voter Search Engine’ page.

On this page, in the first field ‘Janpad’, enter your district. In the next field, enter the type of local body. In the third field enter the name of local body, and in the last field enter the ward name.

A list will appear below once you enter all the above details. If you want to update your mobile number on the slip, click on the ‘Update Mobile’ option next to your name. If you want to print your Voter Slip, click on ‘Print Parchi’

In the second and third phase, elections will be held for 189 and 233 civic bodies respectively. More than three crore voters would be eligible to exercise their franchise in these polls. Voting will take place at 11, 389 polling stations across Uttar Pradesh.
