US sides with India ahead of Quad Summit with an eye on 'expansionist' China

The first-ever quad summit will take place on the 12th of March where heads of Government from India, Australia, Japan and the USA are all set to meet virtually. However, ahead of the ahead 1st Quad summit, the United States of America has come out and backed S backs India calling Quad a key to strategic engagement.

US Secretary of Defence Lloyd J. Austin III has tweeted that he will be visiting Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss deepening U.S.-India Major Defense Partnership. This crucial summit is set to take place at a time when China asserted footprints on the South China Sea.
