New ‘Uri’ Clip: Vicky Carries out a Stealth Mission in Night Mode

The makers of Uri have released a short clip depicting one of the strikes carried out by the armed forces. The clip makes use of night vision and has amassed 1 million views in the span of a day. Clearly the patriotic/nationalistic themes of the film have garnered a lot of excitement. Take a look.

Earlier the trailer for Uri, starring Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari and Paresh Rawal was released. Revolving around the 2016 surgical attack carried out by the Indian Armed Forces, the film directed by Aditya Dhar, traces very recent turmoils.

Vicky is playing an Indian commando in the middle of all the action, and has undergone massive physical transformation for the role. His emotive range is of course one of the high points of the trailer, which is equal amounts of gritty action-packed drama and heart-tugging moments. Yami is a tough intelligence officer, while we get just a glimpse of Kirti as a fighter pilot.

Vicky in an earlier interview had said about the role:

"“When you play the role of a commando onscreen, you feel that they are the real heroes. In our effort to portraying their character, we get exhausted but they are living their lives like that on a daily basis, so hats off to them and it’s not easy what they are doing.”  " - Vicky Kaushal

Produced by RSVP movies Uri will hit the theatres on 11 January 2019.
