Upsets on 2nd day

Calcutta: It was a day of upsets in the International Open Chess tournament, which is organised by Alekhine Chess Club.

While Maharashtra's Shardul Garare and Srinath Narayanan of Tamil Nadu defeated GM Adly Ahmed of Egypt and 10th seed David Alberto of Italy respectively, the unheralded Vishnu Prasanna created a flutter by drawing against second seed Anton Korobov of Ukraine.

However, top seed Radesk Wojtaszek notched up victory and Surya Sekhar Ganguly registered a win against Shreyans Shah.
