Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announces Rs 3,500 crore subsidy for sugar farmers

Announcing the decisions made by the cabinet, Union minister Prakash Javadekar said that cabinet will provide subsidy on 60 lakh tonne sugar to help farmers. The food ministry have proposed Rs 3,600 crore subsidy on 60 lakh tonne sugar. The minister said it will benefit five crore farmers and five lakh workers. The money will be directly sent to the bank accounts of farmers. In the near future farmers will be able to get 3 credits, announced the minister. Further, Javadekar also added that a part of the subsidies approved till now will also be credited in the accounts of farmers within 7 days. Tune in to know more!
