Union Agriculture Minister meets pro-farm laws leader ahead of the key meeting tomorrow

Leaders from about 25 farmers' organisations met today and delivered a letter in support of the Centre's new agricultural legislation to Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

This comes at a time when the government is trying hard to start talks with many other farmers' organisations across the country who are protesting against farm laws.

Farmers have been protesting against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, the Farmers Produce Exchange and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020, on the borders of Delhi for over a month.
