Underprivileged people get pucca houses under PMAY-G in JandK

People living in dilapidated houses or huts in block Barnoti of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir got pucca houses under government's Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G). The Block Development Officer (BDO), Om Dutt Attri said, "The people living in our block are very poor and facing hardship to earn their livelihood. He added that under the PMAY-G after final assessment, more than 150 pucca houses were constructed while achieving the target of 2017-18. The target to constructs more houses for those who are left out or in waiting list are also under process." PMAY-G aims at providing a pucca house, with basic amenities, to all houseless people and those households living in kutcha and dilapidated house, by 2022.
