New Delhi, Nov 19: The news of Bollywood actor Rahul Roy, joining ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has completely taken social media by storm. While many made fun of his speech where he had lauded PM Modi and party chief Amit Shah, some went on to make funny memes around his Bollywood journey.

In fact, Rahul Roy was the top trend on Saturday. Check out some of the tweets which will definitely tickle your funny bone:

Bollywood actor Rahul Roy, who shot to fame with movie ‘Aashiqui’ in 1990, joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in presence of senior leader Vijay Goel on Saturday.

Addressing the media in national capital after joining hands with the ruling party, the actor-turned-politician hailed the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah. He said,”It was a significant day for me today. The way Narendra Modi ji, Amit Shah ji have been taking the country forward, also in changing the view how the world looks at India now, is remarkable.”

During the media briefing, Rahul also sang the popular song “Saanson Ki Jarurat Hai Jaise” from his movie Aashiqui.
Roy has been missing from Bollywood for quite some time. He was last seen in ‘To B or Not to B’ in 2016, which went unnoticed. He had featured in Hindi movies like ‘Junoon’ and ‘Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee’. He also won the first season of TV reality show “Bigg Boss” in 2007.
