Garry Kasparov, former chess grandmaster and current Russian opposition leader, is lashing out at the Trump administration on Twitter.
Allegations of Russia and Vladimir Putin’s friendship with Donald Trump have plagued his administration from day one. In a fresh wave of scandal over the alleged links with Russia, US Attorney General Jess Sessions’ name has cropped up in the reports.
The fresh allegations come close on the heels of the exit of Trump’s national security adviser, Michael Flynn – for lying to Vice President Mike Pence about his conversations with the Russian Ambassador to the US.
Kasparov seems to hold nothing back as he tweets out against this soup US is caught up in.
Over Alleged Ties With Russia
Yet more on Trump campaign Russia connections. Why Russia if nothing compromising? If benign, why all the denials? https://t.co/gUJA8v21jo— Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63) March 2, 2017
Another! Sessions said he didn’t meet with Russians but forgot he had had the Russian ambassador in his office!? https://t.co/Ejs7V4mga3— Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63) March 2, 2017
And they only make the argument that there’s nothing wrong with talking to Putin’s guys *after* they get caught lying about doing so.— Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63) March 2, 2017
By the way, Wilbur Ross was just confirmed at Commerce 72-27, and he has more Russian connections than Aeroflot.— Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63) March 2, 2017
Trump believes in...
Trump believes in free trade, but... He believes in a free press but... As usual, everything before "but" is a lie.— Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63) March 1, 2017
So who is in charge of the country, the people who got Trump to give a bad but typical speech, or the petty nut he is on Twitter tomorrow?— Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63) March 1, 2017
For about 30 minutes, Trump almost sounded like he liked the country of which he is president. Then back to the dystopia only he can fix.— Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63) March 1, 2017
