Bangalore, Oct 22 (IANS) Digital media and content provider Trivone Digital Services Ltd has re-launched online automobiles portal WheelsUnplugged.com to build a large community of auto enthusiasts, buyers, users and industry.
The city-based start-up firm acquired the auto portal from the Delhi-based Red Tree Convergent Media Ltd early this year for an unspecified amount.
"We have redesigned the portal and incorporated a host of new features to build a large community of automobile enthusiasts looking for information on global and local auto industry online," Trivone content officer Raj Narayan said in a statement here Monday.
The portal will also leverage social websites to draw automobile aficionados, users, experts and manufacturers to its digital platform with news, views and analysis for taking well-informed decisions by stakeholders.
"Our game plan is to make the portal go beyond organisations and bring in a fresh perspective of people making cars and motorbikes succeed on roads," WheelsUnplugged editor Raghu Krishnan said in the statement.
With a granular view of the resilient auto industry that goes beyond launch of brands, models and industry performance, the portal will also have content on designs, prototyping and development of new automobiles and two-wheelers.
The two-year-old digital firm also runs six other portals in verticals spanning technology, entertainment and sport.
"Our growth strategy in select industry verticals is based on our credo of using content to generate online conversations and build large communities of netizens on the web," said Trivone chief executive L. Subramanyan.
Among Trivone's online portals are techtree.com, cxotoday.com, channeltimes.com, chakpak.com and khelnama.com.
Global venture firm Accel Partners became an investment partner in Trivone by taking an unspecified equity in December 2011.
