Tirath Singh Rawat was an MP from Pauri Garhwal. Tirath served as the first Education Minister from Uttarakhand; he was also BJP MLA from Chaubttakhal from 2012-2017. The decision of choosing Tirath Singh Rawat as the Chief Minister was taken after a crucial meeting in Dehradun.
