In a major development, Jose Mourinho has been sacked as the manager of Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
The club confirmed the news through a statement on Monday.
Notably, the 58-year-old has been shown the door being in charge for 17 months.
It comes a few hours after Spurs announced they were one of 12 clubs planning to launch a breakaway European Super League.
