During the on-going global fight against the pandemic, lockdown relaxations permit free movement of people in all zones. Businesses across the world have also started moving to the process of reopening their services. That means maids, cleaners & drivers could return to work. Well, many people are still unsure to call maids or house helpers back to work due to increasing cases. However, if you cannot avoid calling them back, then there are some precautions to be followed. This is NYK. Watch out this video to learn some precautionary steps on how you & others can stay safe & healthy.
• Keep a stock of masks and gloves
Keep a stock of cloth masks and gloves outside your entrance door which your domestic help must wear before coming in. When he or she leaves these must be washed properly with soap water and disinfected. Make sure that in no circumstances should he or she be wearing their masks or gloves inside the house.
• Maintain social distancing
Ask everyone in your family to keep a safe social distance from anyone entering your home. For the time being, all of us need to keep in mind that "maintaining social distancing is the social vaccine" of this pandemic. Plus, while giving instructions to your cleaner, driver or maid try & maintain a reasonable distance.
• Thermal screening is vital
Many apartment complexes & societies conduct a temperature check when domestic help or utility service person enter for work daily. In case yours does not, do this in your capacity. If case any of your housekeeping staff members is not well, please do ask them to go back home & take proper rest until they feel better.
Follow these steps to protect yourself and others!
